What Next After Checking Your Name
If your name appears on the UNN admission list:
- Accept your admission immediately on JAMB CAPS.
- Pay your acceptance fee as outlined above.
- Keep checking the UNN portal for registration schedules and clearance information.
If your name is not yet on the list, don’t panic — the UNN Supplementary Admission List will be released soon. UNN supplementary list is usually released 2 – 3 weeks after the primary list has been released, that should be around 1st or 2nd week of November 2025. Keep visiting cutoffmark.ng for the latest UNN admission updates.
Didn’t See Your Name? Here’s What to Do Next
If your name is not on the UNN 2026 Primary Admission List, don’t panic — there are still several ways you can gain admission this year. Follow these steps carefully:
1. Wait for the Supplementary Admission List
UNN usually releases multiple admission batches — Primary, Supplementary, Direct Entry, and VC’s List.
Keep checking the UNN Portal and Cutoffmark.ng regularly for updates.
Make sure you still meet the departmental cut-off mark of your chosen course.
2. Apply for the UNN Supplementary Admission
If you narrowly missed the first list, UNN often opens the Supplementary Admission Application Portal a few days after releasing the primary list.
To apply:
- Visit the UNN Supplementary Admission Portal.
- Log in with your JAMB Registration Number.
- Choose another course where your score meets the cut-off mark.
Pay the required supplementary application fee via Remita and submit your form.
This process gives you a second chance to gain admission into a different course.
3. Consider Changing Course on JAMB CAPS
If your score is not up to the cut-off for your chosen course, you can still change to a related course through the JAMB CAPS Change of Course/Institution option.
Example:
If you applied for Law but didn’t meet the cut-off, you can change to Political Science or Mass Communication.
Visit any JAMB CBT centre to make the change officially.
4. Check if Another School Has Offered You Admission
JAMB can automatically transfer your admission to another institution through the Transfer Approval option on your CAPS dashboard.
- Log in to JAMB CAPS.
- Go to “Transfer Approval” tab.
If another school has offered you admission, click “Accept” to claim it.
5. Stay Active on JAMB CAPS
Even if your name isn’t on UNN’s PDF list, you might still see your admission update directly on JAMB CAPS before the next batch comes out.
Keep logging in regularly to check for changes in your status.
6. Explore Other Universities or Polytechnics
If you don’t get UNN admission this year, you can still secure admission into other recognized institutions through:
- JAMB Change of Institution
- JUPEB or Pre-degree programmes
- Private or state universities that are still admitting.
Always keep your JAMB profile active and don’t ignore SMS or email alerts from JAMB or UNN — they often contain important updates about your admission status.
