The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), located in Enugu State, has announced the sale of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. All prospective students and the general public are hereby notified that registration is currently open, and all candidates seeking admission into UNN are strongly advised to read this update carefully to ensure a successful application.

The cost of the Post-UTME/DE screening form is N2,000 only. The closing date for registration is midnight, Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Who is Eligible for the UNN Post-UTME/DE Screening?

  1. First Choice Candidates: Only aspirants who made the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as their FIRST CHOICE institution during the 2025 JAMB UTME or Direct Entry registration are eligible.
  2. UTME Score: Candidates must have scored 160 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  3. O’Level Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of 5 credit passes in their relevant O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  4. Awaiting O’Level Results: Candidates awaiting results may apply, but must ensure their results are uploaded on the JAMB CAPS before admission consideration.
  5. Direct Entry Candidates: DE applicants must possess the required A’Level qualification(s) such as NCE, OND, HND, IJMB, JUPEB, or a first degree in relevant areas.

How to Apply for UNN Post-UTME/DE 2025/2026

To successfully complete your UNN Post-UTME/DE application, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official UNN Portal:
    Start your application by visiting the University of Nigeria’s official portal at www.unn.edu.ng.
  2. Access the Screening Application:
    • Click on the ‘UNN Portal’ or navigate directly to unnportal.unn.edu.ng.
    • Select ‘Prospective Students’, then choose ‘Online Application Form’.
    • Click on the 2025/2026 Post UTME/DE Screening Application.
  3. Enter Your JAMB Registration Number:
    Input your current JAMB UTME/DE registration number and click ‘Continue’.
  4. Generate and Make Payment:
    • Print out your payment invoice or proceed with Remita for online payment.
    • Pay N2,000 only via any commercial bank that accepts Remita payments, or use your ATM (debit) card for a convenient online transaction.
  5. Complete the Application Form:
    • Return to the portal after payment and log in using your JAMB registration number.
    • Fill out your personal details (including Date of Birth), and enter your O’Level results and, for DE, your A’Level or diploma results.
    • Provide details such as your Examination Number, Examination Centre, and Grades.
    • Upload all required documents. Each document (Birth Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Testimonial, First School Leaving Certificate, JAMB Result Slip, and O’Level results) should not exceed 100KB in size and must be clear.
    • For double sittings, ensure to upload results for both.
  6. Review & Submit:
    • Check all information for correctness.
    • Tick the confirmation box to agree that your information is true and valid.
    • Submit your application and print out your Acknowledgement Slip. Keep this slip safe, as it may be required during subsequent admission processes.

About the UNN Post-UTME Screening Exercise

  • Screening Format (2025/2026): The screening for this session will be by Computer-Based Test (CBT) for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
  • Exam Subjects: Each candidate will be tested on the same four subjects taken in the UTME.
  • Number of Questions: The exam typically comprises 60 questions—15 per subject.
  • Exam Duration: Allotted time is 60 minutes.
  • Accreditation: Candidates must bring the online Acknowledgement Slip and JAMB Result Slip to the exam venue for accreditation. A passcode will be provided at the venue for examination login.

Important Notes and Tips

  • All applicants must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal for admission consideration — failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification.
  • Ensure the email address and phone number supplied during the application are valid and accessible, as the University will use them for communication of vital information.
  • Do not register using a cybercafé’s email address. Use your personal email and phone number.
  • Unavailable documents such as Birth Certificate or Certificate of Origin can be temporarily substituted with a valid affidavit.
  • Regularly check the UNN website for timely updates on the screening exercise, exam date, venues, and possible changes in procedures.

Registration Deadline

All registrations and credentials update must be completed by midnight, Sunday, September 7, 2025.
Late applications or submissions beyond the deadline will not be entertained.
