The general Modibbo Adama University cut off mark for the 2026/2027 admission exercise is 160.
This means candidates who scored 160 or above in UTME are eligible to apply for most undergraduate programmes, provided they also satisfy the required O’Level subjects.
Meeting the cut-off mark does not automatically guarantee admission. It simply means you have met the minimum requirement to participate in the admission process.

How to Apply for MAU Post UTME 2026/2027
If you meet the MAU cut-off mark for your chosen course, follow these steps to complete your Post UTME registration:
- Visit the MAU Post UTME application portal or go to the university’s website and click “Post-UTME.”
- Click “Apply Here” to begin your application.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to verify your details.
- Provide your phone number, active email address, preferred programme, and mode of entry (UTME or Direct Entry), then create a password for your account.
- Check your email and click the confirmation link sent by the university to activate your account.
- Log in and click “Proceed to Payment.”
- Pay the ₦2,000 Post UTME screening fee (excluding Remita, VAT, and other applicable charges).
- Upload a recent passport photograph and your signature in the required format.
- Enter your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), ensuring you use no more than two sittings and provide valid result checker details.
- Fill in your personal information, next of kin, parent/guardian details, and contact address.
- Upload the required documents, including your O’Level result, Birth Certificate, and Indigene Certificate (where applicable). MAU Departmental Cut Off Marks for Competitive Courses
Some courses are more competitive than others, which is why MAU has approved higher cut-off marks for them.

While many federal universities set much higher cut-off marks for Law due to intense competition, Modibbo Adama University has approved 180 for both Common Law and Common & Sharia Law in the 2026/2027 admission exercise, making it one of the few federal institutions where this is currently possible.

Courses That Will Not Admit Students This Year
Before paying for the MAU Post UTME form, confirm that your course is actually available.
The university has announced that there will be no admission into the following programmes during the 2026/2027 admission exercise:
- Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)
- Statistics Education

- Faculty of Engineering – 160 and above
- Faculty of Environmental Sciences – 160 and above
- Faculty of Social and Management Sciences – 160 and above
- Faculty of Life Sciences – 160 and above
- Faculty of Physical Sciences – 160 and above
- Faculty of Education – 160 and above (except Statistics Education, which is not admitting candidates)
- Faculty of Law – 180
- College of Medical Sciences (Nursing) – 200
This means that if your UTME score is 160 or higher, you already qualify for the majority of programmes offered by Modibbo Adama University.
