The Federal Government has officially activated the FarmerMoni 2026 Registration Portal, providing qualified Nigerian farmers with access to interest-free loans of up to ₦300,000.
The programme is part of the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP 3.0) and is targeted at strengthening smallholder farming activities across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
FarmerMoni 2026 is designed to provide working capital to active farmers who require financial support for planting and harvesting seasons. The scheme removes common barriers associated with traditional lending by offering loans without collateral and without interest. Repayment is structured around harvest cycles, giving farmers enough time to generate income before repayment begins.
Through the FarmerMoni 2026 Registration Portal (https://geep.nsipa.gov.ng/), eligible applicants can access funding to purchase seeds, fertilizers, agro-chemicals, farm tools, irrigation supplies, storage facilities, processing materials, and labour support.
The goal is to ensure that farmers plant early, improve yield output, and increase overall productivity. By providing timely agricultural financing, the programme contributes to food security and rural economic growth.
To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18 years and above who are already engaged in active farming. The programme is not intended for individuals who are just entering agriculture.
Applicants must own or lease farmland, possess a valid bank account and National Identification Number (NIN), belong to a registered farming cooperative, and provide recognized community identification. Selection is expected to be fairly distributed, with approximately 28 beneficiaries chosen from each local government area.
The FarmerMoni 2026 Registration Portal can be accessed through the official GEEP platform. Interested farmers are required to create an account using their phone number and NIN, complete their personal and farm information, upload required documents, and submit their application for verification.
Field officers and agricultural agencies will conduct verification checks to confirm that applicants are genuinely engaged in farming before final approval is granted.
The programme will be implemented nationwide, covering all states and the Federal Capital Territory. It will operate in collaboration with Agricultural Development Projects, state programme managers, partner financial institutions, farmer associations, and other relevant stakeholders. This coordinated structure ensures transparency, accountability, and proper monitoring of beneficiaries.
Once approved, funds will be paid directly into the beneficiary’s bank account. Repayment begins after harvest and remains completely interest-free, just like the ongoing TISSF loan. This repayment structure enables farmers to continue production cycles without financial strain while improving long-term sustainability in the agricultural sector.
FarmerMoni operates alongside TraderMoni under GEEP 3.0. While TraderMoni focuses on supporting petty traders and artisans, FarmerMoni specifically targets smallholder farmers to expand grassroots economic participation and enhance financial inclusion across Nigeria.
Eligible farmers are encouraged to complete their registration on the FarmerMoni 2026 Registration Portal (https://geep.nsipa.gov.ng/) early to improve their chances of selection before the application window closes.
